Because I've been getting so many spam comments, I've made the commenting in this mirror journal Friends Only. Feel free to PM me or visit my primary site under the same name over at LiveJournal.
ETA ...Aaaaand since I just noticed it's dropping all my filtered posts into straight 'friends-only' posts which is SO NOT COOL I CAN'T EVEN START, I will not be friending anyone back on this Journal because to go through every post and edit the filter status is... yeah. There's no way I can put as much time and effort into this one as the last one, since I am quite ill, [or I might go and do a two-part one again, damn LJ post character limits] but only a few people to be reading these anyway, so I doubt anyone will be heartbroken. I've altered the wording on the spoiler policy on my sidebar a bit, from "until it's aired in North America" to what you see there now. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to post anything at all about Sherlock Series 2 until May, and I am pretty sure that simply will not be possible. ;-P
That said, I will be lj-cutting anything I do post referring to Sherlock Series 2 with extra paranoia for a couple months in deference to those lurking around here that won't or can't watch it at UK pace.
Now, New Years! Very soon I'm off on a short road trip to spend New Year's Eve with friends (and then drive back at some ridiculous hour of the morning so I can be home to medicate and deal with the cat, blah) so I'll wish you all a Happy New Year now, whatever side of the calendar you're on.

I have the best of intentions, I do. I also have several Christmas/holiday/winter fics started, (some started years ago,) based in Supernatural, Torchwood, and now Sherlock, that I keep intending to finish in time for Christmas Eve. One day, I'll finish something, post it on time, and either everyone will either drop dead from shock or no one will even remember the fandom. :-P
In case you are really bored though, here are a couple of Christmassy/wintery things I've written previously for Supernatural.
-Eye of The Beholder - [PG] The true value of a gift is entirely subjective. Teen!chesters
-The Film - [PG13] An unexpected find triggers some holiday reminiscences for Dean and Sam. Set in Season 2.
-Desperate Times - [PG13] Snow, a remote cabin, and small arms fire. DRABBLE. Humor

It's raining, and a cold wind is blowing in gusts, and every few minutes another flight of geese or trumpeter swans goes overhead, honking. It's very Christmassy.
